Multiple All Decades Reunions 
to Celebrate Our 100th Anniversary

Fall 2018

ANNOUNCING: The school is sponsoring multiple all decades reunions to coincide with the 100th year anniversary of Catholic High - Bishop McDevitt High School's .  

FOOTBALL GAMES:  These events all fall on weekends when we have a home football game on Friday night. They will be honoring Cheerleaders, Band Members and Athletes before the games on Friday nights.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: They are asking for volunteers from each of the decades to assist in the planning and implementation of the reunion for their decade. 

They need a lot of people to help to make these events a success! Bring a friend and help!

Remembering Rose Marie O. Benedict, Class of 1967

passed away peacefully 

on Tuesday, February 6, 2018

After bravely battling illness for several years, Rose Marie O. Benedict, 69, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Osteopathic Hospital.

Rose Marie was born in Harrisburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Emmy.

Rose Marie was a former receptionist at HealthSouth, Mechanicsburg, and had also previously worked at PharMerica and Hill's Department Store.

Surviving are her sister, Margaret; her niece, Sabrina; therapy dog, Sophie; her brother, Matthew; and her sister, Valerie. 

Her family would like to thank her many valued friends who supported and helped her over the years.

New Gatherings of the Classmates

JANUARY 29, 2018

The Roadhouse Café Bar & Grill

The 50th Year Class Reunion of the Class of 1967 has created new opportunities in the relationships of classmates.  The reunion was so successful that we are still experiencing the afterglow of attending the events of that weekend in September 2017.  The reunion created atmosphere's where classmates started new relationships with those they may not have connected with in high school, relationships from high school were renewed and refreshed, and established relationships have been strengthened.

Before the reunion, classmates were meeting every few months at local venues in Harrisburg.  Those gatherings blended right into our planning for the reunion which started in June/July 2016.  In addition to planning committee meetings, we still continued our gatherings.  

Now, after the reunion, we are continuing our gatherings with a refreshed and invigorated interest and enthusiasm.  Out first gathering since the reunion was held on January 29, 2018 at The Roadhouse Café Bar & Grill on Eisenhower Boulevard on the south side of the greater Harrisburg area.  The Roadhouse has a 1950s atmosphere with front ends and side panels of 1950s cars, so, it fits our generation's experience in high school.

We had  very good turn out for this gathering:

of which 6 could not attend for various reasons.
