Living in the Afterglow

The McD Class of '67 celebrated their 50th Year Class Reunion on September 22/23/24, 2017. The events of that reunion weekend were so successful in connecting and reconnecting classmates that we have continued to experience the afterglow throughout the year 2018.
The reunion's planning and execution created atmospheres where
- classmates started new relationships with those they may not have connected with in high school,
- those past relationships from high school were renewed and refreshed, and
- established and long standing relationships since high school were strengthened.
WHAT IS LIVING IN THE AFTERGLOW? Since the reunion, we have continued our quarterly gatherings, and at those gatherings there is increased interest in gathering and socializing with classmates. There's a new vib in the atmosphere. Relationships are continually growing. Thus, when classmates are in need, whether from sickness, surgeries, accidents, the passing of a classmate, or the passing of a classmate's spouse or relative, classmates are there for support. When there are no emergencies, then they are there just to socialize and get to know one another.
Throughout 2018, we have had 4 gatherings as follows:
- Gathering Jan .29, 2018 @ Rod's Road House
- Gathering July 23, 2018 @ Gilligan's Restaurant
- Gathering Oct. 9, 2018 @ The Wharf
- Gathering Dec. 5, 2018 @ The Wharf
The gatherings have been increasing in registrations and attendance. Over the year, we have had about 54 classmates and 15 spouses register for our 4 gatherings. Not all have been able to attend after registration, but that registration count is a sure sign that interest in gathering has increased. Here is the list of registrants.

I learned something this year. There are many classmates that we would greatly enjoy connecting with again. But some may be reluctant to attend for various reasons. If you have not attended the reunion or our gatherings, please know this:
"There are many who value the attendance of others they have not seen in a long time. Thus, you are valued by other classmates more than you know. So please, consider attending one of our future gatherings. Come and experience "The Afterglow of our 50th Class Reunion".
